PRODUCTION

Three to four games per game-day are made available during the regular season in addition to all play-offs and final in HD, available on a pan-European satellite.

TEAMS

16 teams featuring some of Europe’s most prominent clubs such as Olimpia Milano and Virtus Bologna.
Italian teams are historically the most successful teams in Europe alongside the Spanish, having won Europe’s top club competition (now EuroLeague) more than any other nation’s teams with 13 titles.

GAMES

Between 122 and 167 games available live every season.

COMPETITION FORMAT

16-team competition with Regular Season, Play-Offs, and Final Series.
Teams finishing the Regular Season in the Top 8 progress to the Play-Offs.
Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals are played Best-of-5; the Final Series is played Best-of-7.

CALENDAR

LBA REGULAR SEASON runs from end of September / beginning of October to early May
LBA PLAY-OFFS & FINALS are from May to June
Games take place from Friday to Monday, with occasional weekday games
